I want to plan a trip with CS Elements Travel. Where do I start?
Whether you call our office or fill out our online Travel Survey, we will first gather all information for your trip including dates, destination, the type of trip you need, etc. Your information will be entered into our system and you will then be paired with a travel advisor based on the type of trip you are planning. You can expect a call or email from an advisor within 24-48 hours within your first initial contact.
What type of information does my travel advisor gather in order to plan my trip?
Our travel advisors aren't just planning your trip based on your dates and location, but want to know more about you and your personality and the purpose of your trip! It's important for your advisor to understand what type of trip you are taking so that they can pair you with the right accommodations. For example, if you are wanting to plan an all-inclusive trip in the Caribbean your travel advisor might ask you some questions such as:
- "Are you beach people or pool people?"
- "Do you want a lively resort or a quiet resort? "
- "Are you interested in doing excursions?"
- "Are you celebrating anything special?"
- "What is the most important thing for you to gain out of this trip?"
- "What room category type interests you?"
- "Are there any food allergies/accommodations we need to plan for you for your stay?"
- "Are you bringing infants/children? If so, will you be needing accommodations such as cribs, etc.?"
It's really important for your advisors to gather as much information as they can so that they can plan, customize, and personalize your ideal trip/vacation to have the best outcome.
Can your agency book my airline flights alone?
We typically do not book flights alone, however, if you call our office at (219) 252-4228, we can connect you with an advisor. Please note that your advisor will charge a planning fee up to their discretion.
If I am on my trip and I am having issues with my flight (changes, cancellations, etc.), will my advisor help me with that?
Yes! Booking through a travel advisor gives you peace of mind if anything happens with your flights. We will be on the phone for you making new flight arrangements as needed.
Do I really need to purchase travel insurance for my trip?
Travel Insurance is not a requirement, however, we highly recommend it for your travel, no matter how big or small the trip is. We work with companies that cover expenses such as lost luggage, medical coverage, and any other mishaps that could potentially happen while traveling abroad. Your travel advisor can go in more depth with your insurance options.
I want to plan a trip to a destination I've never been. Will my advisor guide me on country entry requirements (i.e, COVID documentation)?
Yes! Since the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 and thereafter, our advisors have been on top of being in "the know" on each country's guidelines and regulations when it comes to international entry. Your advisor will provide all required information for your location.
