So you’re probably thinking this is going to try convincing you that the value of an agent for the time savings and upgrades will be worth it. And while you’ll save time and probably get some extra perks you might not know that using a travel agent is going to cost you zip, zero, zilch beyond the cost of your trip. The cost of your vacation will be the exact same price as if you book it directly online or by phone yourself, but like we mentioned you’ll save all that time and hassle and probably get a few extra perks.
On top of that when you book with an agent you get expert planning help, a single point of contact for all your questions, attention to detail, problem solving, discount monitoring and the first hand knowledge from someone who’s been there.
How can all of this possibly be free? When you book with us, the supplier or travel destination pays us the commission that they have built into the trip after you return home. So why isn’t it cheaper without us? When you book on your own, the supplier keeps the money they would’ve paid us.
So keep this in mind the next time you book a vacation: would you rather support the Expedias, Orbitzs, Travelocity or JetBlues of corporate America or would you rather have free, personalized service that we can and promise to provide?
Still not sure? Check out this great article about why it’s the best time to use an agent.
